The FBI is recommending that prosecutors not bring a case against Hillary Clinton even though their investigation found that she used a private email server to send and receive emails containing Classified and Top Secret information while she was Secretary of State.

FBI Director James Comey said in a press conference Tuesday that he would not recommend criminal charges against Clinton. However, Comey did criticize Clinton’s use of the private email server saying “there is evidence that they were extremely careless of very sensitive, highly classified information.”

Comey said neither the Department of Justice nor the White House knew what he was going to announce Monday, and said the FBI investigation it was nearing its end.
