KATY TRAIL -- People who walk, jog, or bike the Katy Trail in Uptown Dallas probably wouldn't call the popular site a happy trail these days.

"It's kind of nerve wrecking to know right down there could be something terrible happening," explained one runner.

That's because early Tuesday, people were blocked off from their morning run after Dallas PD officers found a body in a field near Hall Street and Turtle Creek Boulevard.

According to cops, the victim is a white male, possibly in his 20's. We're awaiting autopsy results to determine exactly how he died.

This isn't the first time Katy Trail has been a crime scene. Cops recently investigated a string of robberies and attacks on pedestrians near the trail.

And nearby Oak Lawn has been hard hit by hate crimes targeting the LGBT community. Mark Cuban wrote a check for a million dollars to pay for increased police patrols in the area.
