PLANO, TX — They may be small, but make no doubt about it, they’re elite. The best girls soccer teams in America were in Plano this weekend, playing in the Supercopa G tournament.

Teams came in from all over the country: from Honolulu to Philly, New Jersey, Cali and El Paso.

And while these kids were all out to win the cup this week, they’ve got plenty of soccer heroes to aspire after.

Kids named superstars like Carli Lloyd and Alex Morgan as their inspirations when they’re out on the pitch.

And with the US Women’s National team the reigning World Cup and Olympic Champions, you could almost say girls soccer has a more rabid following than the guys.

And with the Olympics just around the corner again for Team USA, these girls have big aspirations to one day carry the torch for United States Soccer. When asked if they would one day be a member of the US Women's squad, the response was a near unanimous "Yes!"

So don’t worry about a thing America. Looks like the future of women’s soccer is in great hands, or rather, feet!
