FAIR PARK -- Ahh, the taste of a juicy hot dog wrapped in a blanket of deep fried batter. Usually, North Texans have to wait until the State Fair to get their hands on Fletcher's famous corny dogs but for a short time that wait is over and it's all because fair park is turning 80.

We caught up with Karissa Condoianis, VP of Public Relations for the State Fair of Texas to find out more, "They're going to be here for this event as well as on July 4th so really excited to have them outside of the State Fair so that all of their fans can come out here and enjoy the Midway and the Texas Star Ferris Wheel and top of Texas Tower."

In celebration, the city is hosting free events on Fair Park gounds this weekend, which will include a concert by the Dallas Symphony, fireworks shows and of course corny dogs.

So if you need to fill your corny appetite this weekend, be sure to stop by Fair Park.

With the price of free, you'll leave with pockets as full as your stomach.
