PLANO -- Tearing down the Tennyson Parkway Bridge over the Dallas North Tollway this weekend is going to create an explosion of chaos.

Starting Friday night, the Dallas North Tollway will be shut down in both directions from Spring Creek Parkway to 121, cutting off Plano and Frisco from the rest of DFW.

"This bridge is not wide enough to fit a new widened Tollway beneath it, so we're having to take down the bridge to widen the bridge to allow for a better Tollway," said Michael Rey of NTTA.

NTTA says even the access roads along the Dallas North Tollway are going to be locked up, the best way around is east and west in the area.

Things should be back t normal by 5 a.m. Monday morning but Rey says -- expect the delays all weekend. You've been warned!
