CINCINNATI, Ohio — By now, you’ve seen video of the 4-year-old who fell into a gorilla pit at the Cincinnati Zoo over the weekend. In order to save the boy, zoo officials say they were forced to shoot and kill Harambe, a 17-year-old, 400-pound gorilla.

On the CW33 Facebook page, that’s clearly up for debate.

This incident brings back memories of a 3-year-old boy who fell nearly 20 feet into the gorilla enclosure at the Brookfield Zoo in Chicago in 1996.

But it had a very different outcome.

In an incredible show of maternal care, WGN video shows a mother gorilla named Binti Jua pick up the unconscious boy, while carrying her own infant on her back, and guard him from other gorillas.

What she does next is amazing. Check it out for yourself…
