DALLAS -- Dating, it's the biggest game you will ever play in your life. But how does it really work these days? What are singles in the DFW actually looking for?

Well, we've got the 411 right here.

Dallas-based Match.com did its own research right here in our very own backyard.  So, here's the scoop on Dallas singles.

Ladies, hope you like Tex–Mex. More than 80% of men say they're likely to take you for an enchilada on the first date.

Next, 134% of Dallas men say they’re more likely to fake an emergency to escape a bad date.

Whoa, we thought that was something women invented!

Now, let’s talk about starting a family. 92% of men surveyed say they want children.

Didn’t see that coming!

That’s all fine and dandy, but what are the ladies looking for?

Women from the Big D say they're less likely to date a man with a different religion and less likely to have more than five exes.

What’s up with that?

Whether you believe the statistics or not, one thing is for sure -- dating is a vicious cycle!
