If your favorite bar is starting to feel same-old, same-old, maybe it’s time to try something new. Music and food and adult beverages are wonderful, but sometimes, you just need a little more. We searched around to find some entertaining activities at bars throughout DFW.

Try some of these unique activities for a change of pace at a few new-to-you places. Don’t worry, you can still get your music and food and drink on – this is DFW after all!

Poker Tourneys at Jack’s Pub in McKinney

Mouth-watering burgers and sandwiches are on the menu at Jack’s Pub alongside frequent $3 Happy Hours and $5 drink specials on beers and cocktails. Several nights a week they host Texas Hold’em tourneys that are open to anyone and free to play. Change up your night out routine and win some cash while you’re at it.

Walk the Line

Karaoke at The Line Bar and Grill in Richardson

With fantastic food (pizza dough and sauce are made from scratch in house!) local spirits and craft beers, The Line Bar and Grill already offers lots of very good reasons to show up.

But on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and most Fridays, they have Karaoke too. Live bands play in their intimate setting on Saturdays, and Happy Hour is daily from 11 to 7. Yep, that’s 56 hours of Happy Hour.

Pub Quiz at Trinity Hall in Dallas

It’s all Irish all the time at this great bar and restaurant in Mockingbird Station. Trinity Hall has the expected offerings of beer (more than 200 of them) and whiskey, live music (traditional Irish bands), and Irish pub food.

Denton’s first microbrewery is best known for making craft beers onsite. With a steady weekly event calendar, Audacity Brew House in Denton delivers much more. Check them out for brewery tours and live music on Saturdays or better yet, make the music yourself at their Thursday evening Open Mic nights.

Great drink specials and yummy appetizers from their full kitchen will draw you to The House Sports Bar and Grill in Arlington.
