DALLAS -- The Mavs are coming back to Big D tied 1-1 with the Thunder after a thrilling one-point victory Monday night. But more success, more problems.

Tip-off for Thursday's showdown with the Thunder is set for 6 pm, which means some fans are going to need a plan of escape in order to make it to the game in time.

No need to worry. As usual, the Mavs have everyone covered as they launched an official #MavsSkipDay social media campaign Wednesday, complete with an excuse note to hand to your boss.

Back at the AAC, Dirk Nowitzki and the Mavs were looking forward to the chance to go up 2-1 in the series despite a recent rash of injuries.

“I'm not sure who's even available tomorrow at this point,” said Dirk. “But whoever puts the uniform on is going to give it their best, just like the other night, compete and we'll go from there.”

One of the players the Mavs hope to get back in uniform is point guard J.J. Barea who said he was getting better since re-aggravating a groin injury.

“Felt good in practice, so yeah, I'm going to do everything I can to get back in there tomorrow. I'll try to make a decision tomorrow morning but so far, so good," Barea said.

Doors open at 4 pm Thursday, so best of luck in skipping out of work!
