Whether you’re ready or not, the Season 2 finale of “iZombie” has arrived and it’s going to send you for a loop. After the Meat Cute massacre at the center of the final installment of Season 1, the show has decided to double down on the action.

“This season finale will not only be bigger than last season’s finale, but I would even say a lot bigger — twice as big,” executive producer and “Veronica Mars” mastermind Rob Thomas reveals. “It may be the biggest episode of television I’ve ever had my name on.”

As or what that action will entail, the titular zombie herself, Rose McIver (Liv), teases, “There’s some huge cliffhangers that we go out with on the finale.”

Whether any of them will be related to her character’s current love life woes remains to be seen, but for McIver there’s not much hope left at rekindling the romance with her undercover police officer boyfriend.

“With any of those secrets, as we’ve seen with Major (Robert Buckley), it’s very hard to get past them in a relationship,” she says.

There could be love elsewhere in the finale, though.

“Ravi (Rahul Kohli) and Peyton (Aly Michalka) — that romance is not over,” executive producer Diane Ruggiero-Wright says. “There’s a chance for something. I’m not saying they’re not never ever getting back together … There’s new hope for something there.”

That could be bad news for Blaine (David Anders) who also has a bit of a thing for Peyton — at least, when his memory isn’t lost.

One thing’s for sure, though. Those of you holding out hope that Ravi’s zombie cure will save the day are out of luck.

“We’re not going to cure zombieism this season,” Ruggiero-Wright confirms. “The cure’s a pain in the ass.”

The two-part “iZombie” Season 2 finale airs Tuesday, April 12, at 7 p.m. CT on The CW.
