MEXICO -- When most people celebrate their birthday, the day is supposed to be happy, right? Well, Ethan Couch is spending his 19th birthday behind bars.

The so-called "Affluenza teen" is in jail for violating his probation for the drunk driving crash that killed four. After video surfaced of Couch at a party where alcohol was being served, he and his mom fled to Mexico.

Couch got captured and was extradited to Texas.

The birthday boy was supposed to be declared an adult and moved from juvenile to the Tarrant County Jail on his big day. Back in February, a  judge decided to go ahead and transfer him, for his safety.

Ethan's not the only one whose escape plan to Mexico failed.

Brenda Delgado, who got herself on the FBI's Top 10 Most Wanted list, is now in a Mexico City jail awaiting extradition back to Dallas.

She's accused of masterminding a plot to kill dentist Kendra Hatcher. Delgado was reportedly planning to surrender Saturday in Laredo, but Mexican federals beat her to the draw!
