FORT WORTH -- Two years ago, it seemed like the picture perfect family. The latest picture is a mug shot.
Wednesday morning, Sofya Tsygankova, estranged wife of pianist Vadym Kholodenko, was in court charged with killing both of their daughters.
The arrest affidavit says she was bleeding and confused when detectives arrived at the family's home, telling Benbrook PD, "I think I committed suicide."
An empty bottle of pills was found on the counter, filled just one day before, along with a butcher knife.
When asked where her kids were, she told detectives she hoped they were with their father.
"Did I do anything bad to my kids?" she asked.
All she remembered, she said, was -- "a bad dream."
UPDATE: Sofya Tsygankova has been ruled incompetent to stand trial. She will now be moved to a state hospital where she will undergo 120 days of treatment. Police say Tsygankova sought mental health treatment the day before her daughters were found dead.
