LUBBOCK, Texas — “I need a beer.”

Well, that’s not something you’d expect to hear from a 3-year-old little girl, but that’s exactly what cops say the child told them when they found her wandering around her apartment complex in Lubbock… all alone.

According to the police report obtained by KJTV, the girl was “extremely dirty,” appeared as if she hadn’t been bathed in a while, and was covered with bed bug bites.

Uh… so where the hell was mom?!?!

Cops say Shauna Bennett was home sleeping — surrounded by cockroaches climbing the wall and filth everywhere.

A neighbor who regularly babysits the girl calls it all a misunderstanding.

“[She] is very rambunctious and has a lot of energy and she knows how to get out of the apartment,” Keith Graves said. “Shauna was doing the best that she could under the circumstances that she was in.”

Well, cops aren’t buying that crap. Bennett has been arrested and charged with abandoning and endangering a child.
