Iowa to Let Kids Pack Heat?!

Okay, this one stopped us in our news scrolling tracks. The headline read, “Iowa May Allow Children to Carry Handguns.”

This is a joke, right? Nope!

According to TIME Magazine, lawmakers in Iowa passed a bill Tuesday that would actually let kids pack heat. We’re talking guns that go — POW! POW! with real bullets, y’all. Not toy guns.

In a 62-36 vote, Iowa’s House of Reps agreed it would be a good idea for kiddos under the age of 14 to possess “a pistol, revolver or the ammunition.” But here’s the catch — WITH parental supervision.

It’s now headed to the State Senate.
