DALLAS -- You probably remember the XXX-rated convention Exxxotica that gave Big D a big headache when it was in town last summer. Well, now it looks like Exxxotica might have to take their sexy somewhere else this year.

On hump day (Wednesday), Dallas City Council narrowly voted 8-7 to ban the event from the Dallas Convention Center.

Last year, Exxxotica turned all those X's into dollar signs. The company announced it sold out its three-day event. Although sex usually sells, people at Wednesday's council meeting weren't buying it.

Speakers, councilmen, and even the convention center's namesake, Kay Bailey Hutchison herself, were present as concerned citizens raised questions ranging from religion to sex trafficking to women's rights and the First Amendment.

But once everything was said and done, it all came down to one vote and a standing ovation.

"They came to the right decision and standing up for our city-owned Convention Center, which I'm certainly proud has my name," Kay Bailey Hutchison said.

But it looks like the situation is about to really heat up. NewsFix spoke to Exxxotica's director who says he plans to sue the city over the decision. Just take a look at the expo's Facebook page.

Sounds like things are about to get down and dirty.
