DALLAS - Art in Dallas is big. All you need to do is head to Deep Ellum for proof. And one of the leaders of the art scene in the area is gallery owner Brandy Michele Adams.

"After 2011 we've really been able to thrive off of this new world," Adams says about the recent reinvention of the art scene in the Dallas.

Adams is the owner and curator of WAAS Gallery in Dallas, which opened in 2011. Something that Adams loves to do is help younger artists navigate their way through the often complicated art world.

"We've helped many artists in their first five years understand that art now is a business," says Adams. And for her, business is good.
