DALLAS -- The story is enough to rattle anyone who’s quick to jump inside a stranger’s car booked through a ride-sharing app.

NewsFix told you last week about a woman who says she was sexually assaulted after she was picked-up by a man who drove a black SUV.

Dallas PD says the woman thought she was getting a ride from a driver she reserved on her app. Instead, cops say the driver assaulted the woman, then just left her in a North Dallas parking lot.

On Saturday, DPD arrested the man they believe is linked to the crime. Working on anonymous tips, investigators were able to track down the suspected attacker, 34-year-old Loai Faheem Laila. Cops say the victim positively identified the suspect.

Laila was cuffed, jailed and charged with sexual assault. His  bond is set at $1 million.

Dallas PD is still investigating if Laila actually works with a ride-sharing service or was just posing as a driver.
