CARROLLTON, Texas -- It's National Cat Day! And the purrrfect way to celebrate this occasion is snuggling with kittens. Uber came up with a way to celebrate cats and give back, all in one trip.

Yep, the San Francisco-based car service teamed up with 50 cities around the country with drivers delivering kitties to customers needing 15-minutes of furry affection, for a $30 buck “snuggle fee.”

Here in the Metroplex, Operation Kindness in Carrollton provided the feline love. And did we mention all of the proceeds go right back to Operation Kindness?!

"If people fall in love, realize that they have to have that kitten, they can certainly come back and adopt them later in the day when we all return,” Jim Hanophy said. Hanophy is the CEO Operation Kindness.

"We've seen this be very exciting for folks,” said Leandre Johns, General Manager of Uber in Dallas. “And we wanted to make this a special day for everybody."

It's safe to say =, there are no grumpy cats here or customers.

Uber cute!
