DALLAS -- When it comes to Star Wars, folks have always been willing to go the extra mile to visit that galaxy far, far away...

"When Empire [Strikes Back] came out, friends of mine, we skipped school. I don't know how many times I saw it, but it was a lot," recalls Mike Skupien of Arlington. "We did the same thing with my kids when Episode I came out. We waited in line for eight hours for tickets."

Well, tickets to "The Force Awakens" go on sale Monday night! But folks aren't exactly flooding theater lobbies this time around. Probably because, you know, it's 2015 and they're all just gonna buy them online, right?

But there's one more hoop to jump through for folks trying to reserve their tickets early, and it involves watching... Football?

Yeah, turns out the new trailer for the movie is airing during Monday Night Football on ESPN, and tickets will go on sale once it airs.  But mum's the word when it comes to exactly what time folks should start refreshing those web browsers.

One theater owner in Dallas told NewsFix he couldn't give us any details at all, or he'd face the wrath of Disney.

"I don't even know who's playing, but I'll be watching for the trailer," Skupien said.

Man, seems like a lot has changed since the last time Star Wars hit the theaters. We'll find out in two months if what's on the screen has changed too.
