Dog Treats Recalled for Possible Salmonella Contamination

DALLAS — Popular dog treats are being recalled because they may be contaminated with salmonella.Good-n-Fun-dog-treats

The recall involves “Good ‘n’ Fun Beefhide Chicken Sticks.”

  • 2.8-ounce bags
  • Stamped with lot #AO15010 on the back
  • Expiration date March 2018
  • Distributed by Salix Animal Health
  • Sold at Dollar General & Dollar Tree stores nationwide

There have not been any reports of animals or pet owners getting sick. Salix is issuing the voluntary recall after routine testing revealed the presence of salmonella in one of the bags.

If you have the “Good ‘n’ Fun Beefhide Chicken Sticks,” you’re urged to throw them out or return the treats for a full refund.
