If you like the latest dish on the hottest celebrities, just be careful when you hit up the World Wide Web, cause links to fan favs may be riddled with viruses!
The Intel Security Most Dangerous Celebrities study scoured the Internet and found the most dangerous celebrities to look around for.
Last year if you went digging for info on Jimmy Kimmel you had a high risk of getting hacked, but this time around, links attached to DJ Armin van Buuren are the most dangerous. Granted, a good deal of searches for him have “free MP4”, “HD downloads” or “torrent” along with his name, so people are doing risky behavior to begin with, but almost 18% or searches for the, DJ most of us haven’t heard of, are links to malicious sites.
And no surprise, folks on the top of the list are also big in the music biz. Watch out if you go looking for music or videos with country superstar Luke Bryan, Usher, Jay Z, Katy Perry, Lorde, and while many people may be addicted to her, Britney, may actually be toxic on the Internet
But the list isn’t without a few surprises. Apparently if hang out with Betty White online 14% of the time you’ll run into some kind of malware. Also, the hottest lady in comedy right now Amy Schumer is linking folks to scary sites almost 15% of the time.
Plus your computer or mobile device might get messed up if you want to get a little more info on Nina Dobrev from the vampire diaries. She links to questionable sites a little over 13% of the time
Also, Bieber, Rihanna, J-lo, Kenny Chesney, Kanye and Miley all made it pretty high up on the list, so just beware the next time you dive deep into the world of celebrity gossip, or try to score some free music or videos on the web.
If the celebrity your looking at comes with a lot of pop-ups, or sites no one’s ever heard of, you probably shouldn’t stray too far from reliable sources, like say, I don't know, EyeOpenerTv.com.
