DALLAS -- Looks like Twitter may be its own trending topic. People are going cuckoo after getting word that the social site may expand its 140-character per tweet limit.

Tech news site reports, Twitter's working on a gadget that would let users tweet messages longer than 140.

Good news for the tweeps who want to type out all their thoughts.

But that's not the only talk on Twitter these days. Former CIA guy who leaked classified information and exposed surveillance programs, Edward Snowden, has joined the Twitter fam. He's even got the official blue verified check mark and more than 1 million followers!

Not bad for a guy who's got so many haters, right?

Well, Snowden's been expressing his thoughts in less than 140 characters

Snowden hasn’t gone on a following spree either. He’s only following  former employer NSA.
