FORT WORTH -- What started out as a grass fire quickly turned into a gruesome discovery late Monday in Fort Worth. Police say around 11:45 pm they found a burning body on the 3500 block of South Cravens Road, in a secluded field area near Lake Arlington.

Officials with the Tarrant County Medical Examiner's Office removed the body from the wooded area and are working on identifying the body, which was burned beyond recognition, but they believe it may be a woman.

Homicide investigators are now looking into whether an accelerant was used on the victim and for any possible suspects.
