CHILDRESS, Texas — Police chief Adrian Garcia didn’t mince words responding to a letter he received from the Freedom From Religion Foundation demanding the removal of ‘In God we trust’ from all Childress, Texas police cars.

Re: United States national motto ‘In God we trust’ on Patrol units

Dear Annie,

After carefully reading your letter, I must deny your request in the removal of our Nations motto from our patrol units, and ask that you and the Freedom From Religion Foundation go fly a kite.

Respectfully,

Chief Adrian Garcia
