Is your iPhone about to power down?  We've got some easy ways to bring new life to your busted battery!

Bright Screen

"Mac World" says keeping your screen at full brightness means you'll only get 6 hours of serious phone use, compared to the more than nine hours you would get if you kept it half way.

Apps are notorious for draining the juice. If you've upgraded to IOS 8, you can see which apps are using the most power. Just go to settings, find battery usage, and scroll down to see a list of what's sucking the life out of your phone. "Mac World" says Facebook and Safari do the most damage.

Bluetooth and WiFi

If you don't need it, shut it down. Your iPhone will work less, which means more power for when you need it.

The new IOS 9 software is coming out in October, and will give you an extra hour of battery life, plus it has a new "low power mode" for when your phone gets below the 20% mark.
