BROKEN ARROW, OK —  Blue Bell is creeping closer and closer to North Texas. Its Broken Arrow, Oklahoma plant is now back up and running, churning out ice cream.

The announcement comes a day after #BlueBellisBack took over Twitter. Blue Bell returned to stores Monday in Austin, Brenham and Houston.

So, when the heck will us North Texans get our Blue Bell fix?! Again, no one knows! There is no firm date.

There’s also no firm date on ice cream from the Oklahoma plant will be available for sale.

“We have been working diligently to prepare the Broken Arrow facility to resume production and, based on our experience at our Sylacauga, Alabama plant, we anticipate that our new procedures and enhancements will also be effective in Oklahoma,” said Greg Bridges, vice president of operations for Blue Bell.

Well, at least we can see the light at the end of this Rocky Road.

“We are humbled by the incredible customer loyalty we have seen,” said Blue Bell CEO and President Paul Kruse. “And we thank our customers for their continued patience as we work through the process of resuming production and getting back into stores.”
