FORT WORTH, TX — It’s less than two weeks until college football season kicks off, and this year, all eyes are on the TCU Horned Frogs.

The Frogs are ranked #2 in the nation coming into this season, after last year’s wild run left them just on the outside looking in for the college football playoff.

On Saturday, fans got a chance to meet the 2015 squad that they hope will make a little TCU history.

“We are extremely pumped up! I am so excited” said fan Ayana Barrett.

Leading the frog's fight is Trevone Boykin. The QB is considered a Heisman trophy candidate. The last TCU player to win the Heisman? Try Davey O’Brien in 1938! Yeah, he rocked a leather helmet back then!

1938 was also the last time the Frogs claimed a national title, so it’s not much a stretch to say that this is the most anticipated season in almost 80 years!

“I tell you, these are the best of times for TCU.” said George Bradford, a season ticket holder for the last fifty years, “I’ve been out here when there wasn’t ten people in a section and my goodness now, it’s just so exciting. The atmosphere, the anticipation is just wonderful, so I’m glad to be a Frog!”

So with this squad favored to win the Big 12, make it to the College Football Playoff, and possibly win a Heisman, all these Frogs have to do now, is prove ‘em right!
