NEW YORK CITY -- Talk about love and war. Looks like Vanity Fair hit a tender spot with the people over at Tinder. The dating app threw a Twitter fit after the current issue suggested apps like Tinder are the reason the digital dating age sucks.

Yeah, "Tinder and the Dawn of the Dating Apocalypse" shares a few swiper stories. One 26-year-old marketing executive brags he uses Tinder to find his nightly hookup saying, "Sex has become so easy."

Well, Tinder was turned off, calling out the article and author on Twitter.

It also took on a recent report which claims over 30% of Tinder users are actually married, not single like their bios claim. Tinder tweeted that's not true -- only 1.7% have jumped the broom.

Well, it seems like Tinder had a hard time sweeping this all under the run after 30 back-to-back tweets. The dating app wants us to know it produces positive experiences for its users.

Uh yeah, like the fact that they can get pizza with Hilary Duff who happens to live nine miles away?

It's a 'catfish', ya'll!

HA! It was a joke, Tinder. Please don't come after us!
