OXFORD, MS – A young couple in Mississippi is charged with attempting to join ISIS after the FBI says they got married and made plans to use their honeymoon as a cover-up to join the terrorist group.

Authorities say 20-year-old Jaelyn Young and her husband 22-year-old Muhammad Dakhlalla tied the knot back in June and were planning to travel to Europe, but not so they could enjoy a romantic getaway.

Instead, investigators say the young newlyweds wanted to make their way over to Syria based on conversations the couple allegedly had with undercover FBI agents online.

Investigators also say young and Dakhlalla, both former Mississippi State University students, offered their skills to ISIS.

Needless to say, their plans came to a grinding halt after they were busted at the Golden Triangle Regional Airport in Columbus, Mississippi just before they boarded their flight to Istanbul.

They were arrested and denied bond.
