LOS ANGELES — What’s a Ghostbusters remake without Peter Venkman? Thankfully, we won’t have to find that out. Bill Murray is proving he still “ain’t afraid of no ghosts,” and has agreed to appear in the all-female reboot hitting theaters next year.

There’s been talk of a third Ghostbusters film for years, but Murray wasn’t so gung-ho, especially since the second one sucked. Apparently this time around, he’s loving the ladies — a new twist conceived by director Paul Feig.

No word yet if he’ll reprise the role of Venkman, but we can tell you OG Dan Aykroyd is also making a cameo as a cabbie.
