NEW YORK — Spider-Man opened a “Can of Whoopass” on a heckler in Times Square.
No, not Tobey Maguire. Cell phone video shows a man dressed as Spider-Man taking down a villain — punching, putting him in a headlock, then wrestling him to the ground outside Toys ‘R’ Us on Thursday.
“Yeah, that’s what I’m talking about,” onlookers cheered him on.
BAM! SMACK! POW! It’s like a comic book came to life in the middle of New York… WTF! SMH! LOL!
Geoff Golberg, the guy who shot the spidey spat, tweeted it with the headline, “Spider-Man Saves the Day!” Apparently, the heckler had been harassing other performers, so Spider-Man let him have it!
The Midtown menace clearly met his match, eh?
But the Times Square Spider-Man isn’t always the hero. Last summer, a guy in the costume was arrested for cursing a police officer and punching him in the face.
It’s unclear if this is the same guy, but we’re sure this isn’t the last we’ve heard from “Spider-Man, Spider-Man, does whatever a spider can!”
