DALLAS - During these hot summer months, you`d rather get a tan from sitting poolside than from mowing your lawn. That`s why some people pay someone else to do the dirty work and a Dallas company is looking to make that process even easier.

It`s called Robin and they`re looking to be the Uber of lawn care, “You go to, you enter your address and you`re given an instant quote for mowing, edging services. You can request additional services like fertilizer, mulching, those types of things,” says co-founder and CEO Justin Crandall.

Justin says the inspiration came from his own issues when trying to get his lawn taken care of. “The idea came from collective experience, just frustration of finding a lawn care provider that you could trust that was reliable that could get the job done.”

And he adds that they're not limiting themselves to warm weather areas. “We get, in the north I imagine, we`d have snow plowing crews and all types of things that are a little bit different than what we see in Texas.”

With the recent public safety issues concerning other share service apps like Uber, Crandall assures that his company does its homework. “Anytime we`re using an individual provider, we`re doing background checks and doing a much more detailed review for those folks.”

So be on the lookout for these new kids on the lawn, “We`re starting relatively small here in Dallas, Houston, and Austin, but we`ve got big plans.”
