THE COLONY - There`s nothing like waking up and saying aloha to a water park in the middle of summer, right? That`s exactly what a select number of kids and their families got to do Tuesday.

They had the park all to themselves. That's right, it was Champions Day out at Hawaiian Falls in The Colony. Regional Director of Hawaiian Falls Water Parks , Clint Hill, says it’s something he and his staff look forward to every year, “It's an opportunity for us to celebrate those with special needs or medical conditions in their families and host a private time for them and allow them to enjoy the park when it isn't so crowded.”

Families were happy to take advantage of their exclusive splash time. With temps getting close to triple digits Tuesday, it was definitely the place to be.

It's the fifth year Hawaiian Falls has hosted this event. They even provide extra staff in case families need an extra hand.

Hill says he and his crew get just as much fun out of it as the kids and their families do "It's a great event all around both for the guests and for us."

See you next summer!
