DALLAS, TX -- TGIF, folks. Congrats, we made it through another work week. So, what better way to celebrate the start of the weekend than with tequila?

Hey now, we’re talking to our friends who are 21 and over. And please drink responsibly. Okay, there’s your NewsFix friendly reminder.

Now, about that Tequila. Did you know July 24th marks National Tequila Day? That’s right, in Texas, perhaps there’s no better way to down the drink than in a margarita.

According to the website,, 50-million liters of Tequila are consumed each year by Americans. Wow, talk about a hangover.

Hey, maybe that liquid courage will help get some folks on the dance floor. Did we mention National Dance Day is Saturday? It’s a day dedicated to encourage folks to get up and move.

On Saturday, the Dallas Hip-Hop Dance Festival will get the party started with a special performance at the Majestic Theater. Looks like the dancers have some mad skills.
