DFW INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT - Every cowboy needs a saloon right? But unlike a classic western, the only shooting taking place in the Dallas Cowboys' new restaurant involves spirits.
And it's the place where traveling Cowboys fans are now free to show their team spirit upon touchdown. The Dallas Cowboys Club in DFW International Airport officially kicked off Tuesday.
And the Cowboys truly kept the project within the family. The restaurant was designed by the wife of former Cowboy great Darren Woodson.
The restaurant will serve Texas-inspired food similar to what’s offered at the Legends Club at AT&T Stadium. There`s even a replica of the stadium`s mega video board to make fans feel right at home.
But even though this was a time for celebrating, Cowboys COO Stephen Jones quickly got down to business talking about Dez Bryant and the impending training camp, saying, “We got to get our hands around Dez; he hasn`t been in a competitive training off season and we want to make sure that you don`t throw him right to the wolves.” And what better place to celebrate Dez`s contract and all the other off season moves the Cowboys made than at their new home away from home?
But the time for off season libations is almost done; the Cowboys land in Oxnard, California in seven days for the start of training camp. But when the season finally gets started, know that you have a new place to either raise your glass in victory or drown your sorrows in defeat.
