DALLAS -- Some say once you hit 50, you're just getting started. And when it comes to ATM smash and grabs,  a trio of masked men just celebrated number 54!

The Friendly Drive-In on South Lamar has the dubious distinction of ringing in the 54th attempt to abduct an ATM in Dallas this year.

This was one of 23 successful ATM thefts this year. Yep, these guys got away with the loot. But cops say 31 of the 50 have been a bust.

According to Dallas cops, three men in masks and hoodies pried open the door early Tuesday morning and snatched the ATM, even though it was bolted to the ground.

This time was the charm, but luckily it was all caught on tape. Cops are looking for a white cargo van and of course that missing ATM.

Here's hoping as the summer gets hotter, these ATM thefts cool off.
