ATLANTA -- Your phone may be smart, but folks sure do some stupid things with it. The latest proof comes from the Red Sox where one player's face is now red with embarrassment.

We're talking about Pablo Sandoval, otherwise known as Kung Fu Panda. But this ninja got in trouble trying to kick game to a girl on Instagram. He liked two of her pictures right in the middle of playing a baseball game.

Well, technically he was in the bathroom, but he ended up on the bench the following game. It appears Pablo's world class athleticism couldn't help him dodge the dreaded thirst trap.

But he isn't the only ballplayer to strike out with social media. A baseball player from Bloomsburg University was kicked off the team after sending out a tweet that called Little League sensation Mo'ne Davis a word we're not going to repeat.

Then there's the famous tweet from retired baseball pro Chipper Jones where he suggested the Sandy Hook shooting was a hoax. Looks like someone needs to retire from Twitter as well.

So, memo to all pro athletes out there: be careful what you do on social media. It's a different ballgame out there guys.
