VALLEY RANCH — How would you like to learn how to blitz from Sean Lee? Or how to throw a perfect spiral from Tony Romo?

Well, 160 underserved local high school football players got to live that dream at Cowboys U!

Yep, the gridiron stars took off their pads and helmets and became coaches for a day.

The day was way more than just X’s and O’s, though. There was a championship on the line!

It all came down to Team Brandon Carr vs. Team Jason Witten!

“We`re gonna win as a team!” coach Witten implored his team before the championship game. “Defense, we`re gonna have to get stops!”

“Ya`ll grind hard to get here, finish it off, that`s all. Simple!” said coach Carr.

With the tables turned and the Cowboys watching from the sidelines, some big time stars stepped up.

The biggest by far was wide receiver Curtis Hollis from Mansfield Summit.

“Man, it`s a blast, a true honor,” said Curtis, “These people I look up to, watch on TV. Just coming out and watching them and getting coached by them is fun!”

Hey, it might not be too long before Curtis is back on this field wearing a star! This dude pulled down four TD grabs in the championship game as Team Carr took it all!

“I'm feeling good!” said Curtis, “We earned it!”

“ I got drenched, so that means we won, that's a good thing!” said Carr, “I woke up this morning and I said  I was going to win me one and that's a good start to 2015!”

A good start for sure!

Now if the Boys can just match the intensity and drive of these kids, they might be the one’s winning it all at the end of the season!
