FORT WORTH - Nearly 9,000 people are gearing up for the ride of their lives on a 1,800-foot water slide in Fort Worth.

The gigantic slip & slide is going up this Saturday at Panther Fest. It's all part of Slide the City which travels across the country, blocking the streets of major cities for a day of wet and wild fun.

Tickets are sold out, but you may be able to find them online from scalpers.

If you don't get a chance to slide all over Fort Worth, Slide the City is looking to get permits to lay them out in Dallas and Frisco.

Hey, don't forget the beer, food, and bands at Panther Fest. We're sure it'll be just as fun to drink up and watch the sliders crash at the finish line.
