AMSTERDAM — It’s now been 10 years since Natalee Holloway disappeared. And now, a decade later, a new witness has surfaced. But prosecutors aren’t buying his story.
Jurriën de Jong told CNN’s Martin Savidge that the teen’s body was not tossed out to sea, as many believed. He says she’s actually buried in a crawl space at a Marriott vacation property in Aruba.
De Jong says on May 30, 2005, at the site where Marriott’s Aruba Surf Club was under construction, he saw a young man chase a young woman through the construction site.
At first, he thought the two were being playful, but says a short time later the man reappeared, carrying the woman’s limp body.
“… He pulled (the woman) by the ankles inside the crawl space, stayed inside for a minute and then came out and closed the gap,” de Jong said.
Holloway’s dad says De Jong actually called him years ago with the same story, but he thought it was another hoax. Now, he’s not so sure.
