BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA – When it comes to fashion, no matter which way you turn, you usually see a particular trend when it comes to the models. Well, one 18-year-old is trying to break the mold.

Meet Madeline Stuart, the Australian teen is an aspiring model who has down syndrome, and she’s already turning heads.

But her quest to stardom was anything but easy. Because of Stuart’s disorder, she struggled constantly with her weight. So she started exercising and began shedding pounds. 40 to be exact. And now she’s ready to take on the modeling world.

However, her main goal isn’t fame. She’s looking to raise awareness about Down Syndrome along the way. And it seems to be working.

Stuart’s journey has gone viral, with tens of thousands supporting her dreams online and on Instagram.
