ARLINGTON, TX - You know him as number 45 when he takes the mound at Globe Life Park in Arlington -- Derek Holland; AKA The Dutch Oven.

Yeah, that's his nickname. And that begs the question: how does one get a nickname like that (don't know what we're talking about? Just Google it).

"Well, my last name's Holland. And Dutch. Holland. They go together. And then a fan actually had at the park a sign that said 'dutch oven bringing the heat.' So I mean you put two and two together," Holland explained to NewsFix.

He went on to say, long story short, he let sports radio, and the fans dictate his nickname.

But, there are plenty of things you probably don't know about the Dutch Oven. Not only can he dial in on the strike zone with the best of them, he's got a knack for acting!

"My acting career has already started....as I was in Dumb and Dumber Two," he says. He's also quite a talented impersonator. You really need to hear his Kermit the Frog, and Harry Caray impression.

The fun's not over yet! We've still got a part two with Holland.
