DALLAS – Nobody does it quite like the south does it, right? Especially when it comes to travel-worthy events. And we have a lot of them.

Well, USA Today has just come out with a list of the Top 20 Southern Events and guess what made the cut? The State Fair of Texas – where everything that can be fried, is fried.

Yep! You know what that means -- let the voting begin. And we’re going to need it. There’s some pretty steep competition.

Also in the running: The Bonnaroo Music Festival, JazzFest in New Orleans, The Charleston Wine and Food Festival, Memphis in May and the Kentucky Derby. And the State Fair is competing against two other Texas events – South by Southwest and the Luling Watermelon Thump.

Well, the voting ends on May 25th, and you’re allowed to vote once a day.

Heck, Big Tex already won the “Best Quirky Landmark” contest last year. Now it’s time to bring this one home, y'all!
