FORT WORTH - On Wednesday, the Fort Worth Police Department and the Fort Worth Police Officers Association, along with families and other members of the community, gathered to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Mayor Betsy Price, FWPD Chief Rhonda Robertson, and Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney Sharen Wilson all spoke to honor the fallen heroes of the city.

The event included a roll call of honor, in which the names of all fallen Fort Worth officers were read.

Family members of fallen officers released butterflies, and yellow roses were left at the foot of a memorial wall.
