GARLAND - We might never know exactly how the guys who attacked the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland were connected with ISIS, if they were at all. But the FBI says Elton Simpson had been communicating with terrorists overseas.

Hey, when you're joining ISIS, it's not like they send you a membership card with your picture.

"The notion of membership is simply, do you have an iPad? Do you have access to the Cloud? Okay, you're a member of ISIS if you choose to be," said Juliette Kayyem, former Assistant Secretary for Homeland Security.

A Minnesota TV station reports Simpson had been in contact on Twitter with a guy named Junaid Hussain. He's reportedly from Britain and has ties to a militant group in Somalia.

He was apparently online Tuesday night when Newsfix saw this chilling tweet: "You ain't seen nothing yet."

Back in Garland, there'll be some security changes during all graduation ceremonies at Culwell starting this weekend. They're only letting people carry in bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC. Small clutches will be allowed, but they'll be inspected.

Of course, none of that would have prevented what happened Sunday night.

But hey, with all the extra security, Culwell could be the safest place to be this weekend.
