Can you believe YouTube’s only been around for 10 years? What did we do before when we needed random hilarious videos to kill our boredom?

And now, a trip down memory lane with the first video ever published on YouTube exactly 10 years ago on Thursday.

The 18-second-long video shows a man in a wind blazer at the zoo.

“Alright, so here we are in front of the elephants,” he says. “The cool thing about these guys is that they have really, really, really long trunks. And that’s, that’s cool. And that’s pretty much all there is to say.”

Well, alrighty then. Nothing astonishing but it will definitely go down in Internet history.

User “Jawed’s” video has amassed 20,371,000 views since it was uploaded on April 23, 2005. Despite only having this video on his channel, he has 78,930 subscribers.
