ARLINGTON, TX - You know you're in Texas when thousands show up to hear some of the biggest names in country music!

“It's hot, it's crazy, it's way too many people but… welcome to Texas,” said one concert goer.

There's no better place to kick-off the 50th Academy of Country Music Awards than right here in the heart of the lone star state.

Hundreds of fans gathered at Globe Life Park to experience day two of the AMC’s ‘Party for a Cause’ fest! This time, Mother Nature rolled out a warmer welcome. Friday night's storm washed-out the event.

Proceeds from ticket sales benefit ACM 'Lifting Lives', the academy's philanthropic organization that strives to improve lives through music. Saturday's pre-party gives fans a chance to party with a  star-studded line -up of singers and popular bands  before  the red carpet rolls out Sunday night.

“It’s been crazy… everyone is having a good time they're excited and ready to party,” shouted another concert goer.

Rain or shine this crowd was definitely down for the cause!
