SALADO, TX – A North Texas man was killed and at least three others injured after a truck slammed into a bridge, causing it to crash down onto I-35 in Salado.

The victim has been identified as 32-year-old Clark Brandon Davis of Arlington.

TxDOT says the oversized truck was carrying a crane when it hit the beams on the bridge Thursday morning. That caused a domino effect and two other beams fell.

Both sides of I-35 are shut down until further notice, causing major traffic troubles.

The accident happened about 40 miles north of Austin and involved five vehicles — three 18-wheelers and two cars.
