GRAPEVINE, TX -- He's not just any bunny; he's the Caring Easter Bunny!
This holiday hare was in high demand Sunday morning as early birds waited outside his burrow inside Grapevine Mills Mall.
The free, sensory-safe visit was hosted by abilitypath.org. The event made it a lot easier for special needs kids to snap a pic without the long lines or many other distractions.
“He easily gets agitated if something`s out of routine,” Brenda Gonzalez explained about her son. “So having a specific time for us to come out is really awesome!”
Darla Gerard is also grateful for the opportunity. She drove all the way from east Texas just so her grandson, who has autism, could meet the special furry friend!
“A lot of people don`t understand when you take an autistic child somewhere sometimes they`re calm like this and sometimes they get nervous and crying and carrying on,” Gerard explained.
“These people take the time and understand what`s going on.”
This Caring ‘Easter’ Bunny delivered more than baskets full of Easter joy to these kids, he also gave them and their families fun memories!
