ALVARADO, TX - Miranda Abshire and her sons, two-year-old Cruz and five-year-old Christopher, were driving along Highway 67 in Alvarado when cops say they were met by wrong-way driver, Ricardo Martinez.

Police believe Martinez was driving under the influence, three times the legal limit.

The cars hit head-on, killing Abshire and her sons and injuring her sister.

On Tuesday, Abshire's family and friends traveled down the same stretch of Highway 67, this time, to help them make their final journey.

As the procession passed by the crash site, they slowed down, looking at the three crosses left in remembrance of their family gone too soon.

Abshire was a bartender at the local Chili's where another memorial rests.

Now Martinez faces three murder charges and one intoxication assault charge.
